Assembling the Ingredients

You might think I’m other than a true New Zealander showing these as ingredients for my dinner, but I have long preferred Mediterranean-type food to traditional kiwi fare. I’m not even sure what kiwi traditional is. When I was growing up it was roast mutton and potatoes, with a selection of vegetables, the more the better. Nowadays the recipes I see in magazines and newspapers are very cosmopolitan, with ingredients I’ve never heard of.

These are not all that will go into my pasta sauce. I haven’t even picked the zucchini yet, and the homemade vegetable stock and tomato paste is still in the freezer. Once it is cooked I don’t want to mess round taking photos of it.
