Taking a look

I'd been wondering whether the Great Crested Grebes, who nested a the other side of the road from my apartment last year, would do so again this year and today I finally managed to spot one of them. There were moments when its wings were fidgeting quite a bit and at one point it seemed to eat something white, which I thought might have been a piece of egg shell, but from where I was standing I couldn't spot any eggs or chicks in the nest in the photos that I took when the Grebe was standing up.

The extra photos are a Heron and a Cormorant, who were also visiting the area where the Great Crested Grebes' nest is.

I hope you'll also take a look at yesterday's entry, which has been backblipped.
