Cramond for Kicks

Took Jamie back to Cramond today but, this time, there was no sunshine or blue skies.

However, we had promised him when he was here on Tuesday that we'd take him today, so everything had already been decided.

It was overcast when we left but, on the foreshore, it was very, very windy.

We had brought bread to feed the swans but, as luck would have it, there were none around today. Just a single (big) duck and the usual crowd of rowdy seagulls.

The wee guy got a bit of a fright when one flew really close and tried to take the bread out of his hand. It missed of course and he got a bit of a peck instead, so he was none too happy!!

Needless to say, it wasn't too cold for ice cream so we duly sat on our usual bench while Jamie (and I) ate our cones.

There were plenty of 'blip' shots but, as we were walking back to the car, Jamie spotted these leaves and what followed was a foregone conclusion.

And as the leaves seemed to formally announce the arrival of Autumn, I decided on this shot for today's blip.
