A secret meadow

I noticed a flash of colours from the corner of my eye when I was walking home. I stopped to check what it was and I discovered that in one corner of a recently mowed lawn there's a small haven of wild flowers, that somehow survived the lawnmower. It's like a proper meadow with poppies and other flowers I sadly don't recognise. It's very, very windy today, that's why the flowers look rather smudgy.

I wonder for how long they will be left alone to grow there...
