Going Home

12.1C slightly misty morning. It got warmer around noon when the sun tried to break through for a couple of hours. Then showers through the afternoon. Light WSW/W breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound got up just before 6am. Very short walk. Back to bed !

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve stayed at home.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. Lots of seals on the rocks and in the sea next to the shore at Kiel. The cargo ship Nordic was heading Eastwards along the horizon..

At Carskey we walked along with Maeve almost to the far end and came back along the track that runs along the top of the dunes. One seal appeared and had a look at us when we were walking along the sand. Gannets were diving. The man in shot had been fishing at the far end of the beach near where the river runs into the sea and now he was heading for the car park and then for home.

There were six boxes of eggs for sale at Little farm's roadside stand today. I bought a box.

When we came back through town and came past the harbour we caught a glance of Nordic coming across Campbeltown loch towards the harbour.

F1 highlights on telly in the afternoon. A win for Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.

Late afternoon music ... BBC Radio 2.
