Splashing Stones

Yet another good day. We all walked separately round Mourão, asking God's blessing on the town, and then met up at the Adega for more Cante, tintinhos and petiscos. Mike had a good chat to the local builder, who seems to know all about permission to build on "our" land.

And then a bit of a chill under the bridge to the island - can you see the splash from Sam's stone? Zion has been obsessed with throwing stones all holiday.

We've just been watching, from our balconies, the procession for Palm Sunday - so different from our traditions, but so full of meaning, and love the way everyone joins in. There are various niches around the town, that have all been decorated, and the ground strewn with rosemary and lavender - amazing to smell when you walk over it - see one in extra. And then another two of Julia and Zion on the other balcony, and the view down our street of the procession.

Sam is making dinner, and we're all starving, so can't wait...
