Bike Ride along the Daffodil Roads

The Sunday bike ride was down Broughton, in the Scottish Borders. A lot of the roads are lined with daffodils. The is quite deliberate. There are signs showing they have been planted to help raise money for Marie Curie. Near the signs are yellow post boxes so that people can leave donations to the charity. The road above is the B712 that goes through Stobo and Drumelzier. The photo above was taken near Lyne.

There are also daffodils along the A701 from Broughton to Romannobridge, and on the Bogsbank road from Romannobridge to West Linton. For a short time only. Some are already starting to wither.

A nice day for the ride, although most of it was in to the wind. Intentionally of course, so that the ride home was mostly wind assisted. A nice Spring day, warm and dry. 97.2km.

Afternoon spent in Morningside, with the obligatory coffee and cake.

Evening spent back-blipping gaps in my blipfoto blog. Productive.
