Dialling it up!

We did our monthly Wetland Bird survey today. It was bitterly cold with quite a strong breeze and the water was surprisingly choppy. At least it was dry and sunny. More Swallows - this time 5 feeding over the water, and heard my first Willow Warblers. But unusually, we didn't see a single Mandarin Duck. Fortunately, this Song Thrush was unmissable, singing almost deafeningly. I was nearly lucky to get a decent shot at a Goldcrest, but although it was relatively still for a few seconds, it was hidden behind leaves. It still gets into extras though.
