Fairfield horeshoe

After being in flat Cambridge for so long, I have been so excited to get back into the hills. I went on a walk that I have done before, starting in Ambleside and going on a circular route around a horseshoe of hills. It was a wonderful day – incredibly sunny and great visibility. 

However, I have definitely not used my hill walking muscles in a long time! The climb was definitely harder than usual, made worse by the fact that I realised halfway up that I hadn’t put as much money in the parking machine as I should have done, so I had to rush the rest. I am very achey now, but very glad I got out and had fun :)
