Opera glasses

These opera glasses, which now live on our small mantelpiece, used to belong to my aunt. I remember as a child when she would take them to a show, like a Christmas pantomime and we would enjoy looking more closely at the actors.

I think they probably belonged to her mother, my grandmother who lived in Germany before the war. I guess these are very old. They are made from brass and decorated with mother
of pearl.
