Here comes ....the monsoon!

We travelled from Kandy today to the Yala National Park, where we were supposed to be having a jeep safari. However, the weather changed suddenly, the mist came down and it poured! We were on the most twisty turny roads down from the mountains at this time and it was quite scary. Water was pouring down onto the road and we passed a mini landslide. Given that drivers continue to overtake on bends in these conditions, it was quite a hairy experience!
