Sundance gave a bark when I opened the back slider.
Scaring a small herd of deer,
Who’d been laying in the shade of a Mesquite tree.

Big ears twitched. Big eyes watched,
As I pulled bouncy Sundance into the house.
I returned with my camera, trying a stealth approach.
Didn’t work. They were done with us.

I managed two shots, before they headed to the golf course.
