Corbridge Bridge

Spent some time in Corbridge yesterday  It's a lovely little town on the banks of the river Tyne in Northumberland.  There has been a bridge at this point since the 13th century.  The current bridge was built in 1674.

Sadly, Corbridge suffered badly during the floods at the end of 2015 when over 40 homes were flooded.  However, after much hard work it now seems to have recovered and even won a Britain in Bloom award last year.  The extra photo shows measuring posts along to monitor the level of the river.
