Our cobwebs were well and truly blown away with a brisk walk along the beach at St Bees.
Next stop was Whitehaven for possibly the best chips I have ever had, eaten sitting on the harbour wall. I don't think I have been to Whitehaven before. There seems to be a lot of history associated with the town, particularly its mining connections.
We had promised the children go-karting so off we went to Maryport to the Indoor circuit. I was really proud of the girls, they were so nervous but were soon whizzing round the track, giving us a wave and a thumbs up.
The boys went next in faster cars and a bigger circuit. Alf was the fastest and very smug in victory as you can imagine.
We are currently cooking the contents of the fridge for dinner as we want to eat out tomorrow night.
Looking for a good film to watch tonight. Last night we all watched 'An American Werewolf in London'. We're thinking we might stick with the retro theme...
