Out of the woods

By Ulrike

The longest thursday

after a mixed ferry trip, we started our first day in Denmark by stopping at the countrys only desert which also is wandering eastwards and makes for ever changing patterns in the sand (see first extra). We also went to see the sand buried church nearby, and then went further on to the northernmost tip of Denmark when two oceans meet and where waves from both east and west make for a lot of movement. There we met the cute seal in extra number 2. Had some good lunch and a bit of shopping in Skagen for so to find our apartement close to Blokhus in a almost-famous place called "Anne Just´s Have" (have means garden) where there is a 1000m2 large garden with some tranquil places to stay overnight.
In the evening we went to a restaurant and a bit of windy beach to end the day.
All in all a nice day with lots of sunshine, sand, wind and strange Danish language gibberish.
