Serene

The residential care home in our village invited people to join them for a concert and cream tea in aid of the Somerset Hospice. A few villagers went along to support the event, and we were treated to almost an hour of live music played by a harpist and a flautist. The residents joined in with humming and singing some of the folk tunes, and found listening to the music very enjoyable. The harpist looked very serene as she played, totally unfazed by the occasional interruption!
Tea and dainty cream cakes were then passed around, and Easter bonnets were displayed !
Later on at home, I made my usual meringues to leave in the oven overnight - my daughter and family are coming tomorrow for the Easter weekend.
