Cotswolds Day 2

Another really busy day and Chris's birthday too. After a lovely breakfast at the hotel we headed to Birdlip as Chris had remembered passing here many times as a child. The road had been re-routed away from the lovely view and it took us a while to find the right place as the sign was missing.
After taking some photos we headed towards Cirencester. We spent a good four hours here, enjoying this lovely town. We had lunch and visited the Roman museum (Corinium). We were amazed by the collection of mosaics and other Roman artefacts that had really stood the test of time. After a good walk around the town, exploring the many side streets with a good range of independent shops, we did a bit of shopping and I was very pleased to find a Mistral shop. After heading back to the car we decided to try and find a National Trust place that was quite close. When we arrived we were disappointed with what we found as it appeared to be miles from anywhere and we were already exhausted from the morning's walking. We spotted some paragliders in the sky and headed towards those instead. Here we found another fantastic view and five paragliders having a great time riding the thermals.
Eventually we headed for Cheltenham for a bite to eat and then back to the hotel.
