Autumn approaches

The leaves are changing colour here on central Harrogate's expanse of parkland, known as The Stray.

This attractive part of the town, about 200 acres in area, was laid out in the eigtheenth century and must be preserved as parkland. If part of the Stray is needed for another purpose, such as additional footpaths or road widening, the area used must be replaced by an equal area of parkland elsewhere in the vicinity.
