Cappadocia

After a leisurely breakfast on the hotel terrace in lovely morning sunshine, we (Erin and Robin and me) set off in our hired car for the Ihlara valley.  Nearly two hours of open road and we arrived, but in torrential rain!  Cup of coffee in the cafe later, the sun was out, and we three walked along the valley for about 3-4 km, and then walked back again!  Journey home through various never-to-be-revisited villages, populated with more sheep and goats than people, affording some spectacular scenery of distant snow capped mountains and we just managed to get to the famous panoramic view point in Göreme to watch the sunset.   Evening and we went into Ürgüp for dinner, then back to the hotel for drinks and conversation.
