After the open day...

...the garden returns to peace and quiet. Although that's not quite the case: if you look carefully, you might be able to see a magpie on one of the lower right branches of the birch tree in the foreground. The magpies seem to rule the garden when our backs are turned and goodness knows what happens when we aren't there - there must be a completely different order that takes over. 

The open day went well, more people came than I had thought would - the wind was cold, but there was enough sun to bring the temperature up a bit. And now we get two days off!
