The Way of Colour

By Beachcomber149

Another course is over ...

... and thats a sad thing as we love coming to Ullapool, and more especially to be on a course at Bridge House Art.

Today we could explore any of the print methods we had used during the week, to make prints of new images on new paper or to work within a theme or motif and overprint previous work.

At the end of the afternoon we laid out a selection of our chosen work on our tables and everyone in turn explained what they thought they had achieved or got from the week's work. My intention had been to get a feel for the intricacies of each process and to explore the ones that I can use at home to develop more complex prints.

The blip is one end of my work table with a fine point etching (tiny), some relief monoprints, lino cuts, and hand drawn monoprints. I particularly like the series of stones on the coloured papers :-)
