Ascent to Rohtang Pass

So today on our trip to Kullu Minali, without planning for it, JP and I decided to drive up to Rohtang Pass. This took some convincing on JP's part. The pass is 13,200 feet above sea level. The road is best described as challenging. The car we drove is the subcompact we bought in India last year. To begin the journey, JP had to convince the local border guards to let us on the restricted road. The trip ended up being one of the best in 18 years.
