"You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself."
Alan Alda

Last  day in Singapore so we head into town on foot from the hotel as it's only a short walk away.  Following the Singapore River we soon reach Clarkes Quay where we take a short river cruise to get a last glimpse of the city, followed by another short walk around the old colonial buildings that line the quay.
The morning soon passes and it's time to head back to check out of the hotel.  I'm tempted to fit in another visit to Chinatown but K is reluctant, then I notice why - the skies are darkening and within a few minutes it's coming down stair-rods, and it keeps coming.  We retire to the hotel's 10th floor lounge, which is open on three sides but fortunately has a covered area for us to relax in the dry.  Our taxi is due in about an hour to take us to the cruise terminal to check-in on board ship for our ten-day cruise up the coast to Shanghai.
Singapore is quite impressive.
