Bee on bilberry, not bilberry bee

We had a pleasant walk in the woods and were pleased to see the profusion of  little globe-shaped flowers on the bilberry (or whinberry) bushes, a hopeful sign of a good crop to come if there are no more frosts. Even better, a honeybee was visiting to collect nectar and to effect pollination - looking as if it were holding up a beach ball.  It would have been more exciting to see an actual Bilberry Bumblebee,  an increasingly scarce upland species which is threatened by climate change and mostly found further north.

Extra: strolling in the woods or forest-bathing as it is called in Japan where the activity is promoted as a stress-busting therapy and a source of well-being.
