A concrete love affair

Graceful Liverpool

I went up to the North West to photograph artist friend Simon Mckeowen's Motion Disabled Unlimited exhibitiion at West Cheshire College in Ellesmere Port. From that fantastic campus, at the top of the colleges rotunda, I could see the stunning cluster of buildings forming Liverpool City Centre in the distance; a beautiful goosebump inducing sight from all those miles away.

So of course, afterwards I went over to Liverpool to check out the fantastic regeneration the city has undergone in recent years. A deeply northern regeneration project, rugged bold emblematic and allied to areas of previous industrial activity. The docks and waterfront have been reinvented beautifully and now provide wonderful spaces to enjoy the city's lovely vista, especially in the evening sunshine.
