Wanderings & Witterings

Parklife

It has only been six days since my last walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers, but it seems a lot longer. The side-effects of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter, no doubt.

Our walk today was a local one for me: so much so that I even walked to the start (although I did get the bus home at the end of the walk). We started out by walking through the Bonnybridge War Memorial Gardens and alongside the Bonny Water (from where the town gets its name), continuing onto the Forth & Clyde Canal towpath, before weaving our way through Bonnyfield Local Nature Reserve and back to Bonnybridge itself. There are worse ways of spending two hours on a Tuesday morning.
