Water Tower on Whanganui River

We drove down river to Te Maire this afternoon, to have a look at the water levels. A local river expert is saying the river will be 100% ok to launch tomorrow. The image is of an old water tower, for gauging levels. It's up high on a pole, with the river swirling down below.

We've been filling in time with different activities. The other 3 in our group have been biking over the past couple of days and D & I walked (climbed!!!) up to the Red Crater yesterday.

We're all packed & ready to go. Fingers crossed!
