The Wetlands

I spent this morning strolling around Reedy Swamp - another wetland just out of Shepparton.  The bird life was abundant and I wanted to try for some birds in flight before fronting up to Beckett tomorrow.  This is not so easy as the 200 ditched attempts prove.  So here are the few that could have been better.  It's a start.  This is a Kite, I believe and the first extra is a gull of some sort.  The second extra is of the pelicans settled together on a long in the water. You can also see spoonbills, egrets and wood ducks. I am still learning about birds and find them hard to identify.
Now I must finish packing an head off for The Blue Mountains.  Wish you could all come with me!
