Spawning along Wolf River

It is Lake sturgeon spawning season in Wisconsin.
We drove where the action was; indeed, spawning
was in full force.  People drive for miles and school
buses full of students arrive to see this pre-historic
fish up to six feet long arrive to follow nature's
call to reproduction.  The females are larger than
the males and sometimes a female is surrounded
by five males all waiting to fertilize the many eggs
of one female.  In the next few days, I will
post this process on Bliphoto.  I find the process
fascinating and hope you do also.
