A literary connection

Today I went on a walk with a difference. First, there was no hills which is most unusual. It was a literary walk discovering the inspiration that Jane Austen found to write her novel, Sense and Sensibility. This house is Pynes House dating from the 1700s and is thought to be "Barton Park" in her novel. It was quite likely that Jane would have stayed at the house during her holidays in Devon. She would have enjoyed some of the beautiful country walks undertaken by Elinor and Marianne in her novel. It was a change to take in the local scenery and imagine what it was like living in those times.
