Cuttings Mark 3...

I do like how YouTube ends up suggesting videos based on your searches.  Today whilst flicking through subscriptions, I came across a suggested video about making rooted cuttings using a potatoe.

Drill a hole in a potatoe, fill it with honey, cut a new branch, snip the leaves (moisture retention measure apparently), dip it in cinnamon powder, then stick it in the potatoe and plant it.

Might work.
