The last of the winter feeding

The suet bar at the bird feeder is almost finished. The Great Spotted Woodpecker still visits while most other birds find something on the ground below.

The nights have been very cold this week, down to -8°C. Today the afternoon temperature rose as much above zero, but the previous days were much colder, so spring is progressing slowly. I took advantage of the situation and hauled more bales home in the morning. Soon both the field and the roads will be too soft.
