John Muir Way

I have in my mind that I want to complete the John Muir Way this year, albeit that I will do it in sections, one day at a time. We did the Helensburgh to Balloch section last year. Today we did the Balloch to Blanefield section. The first several kilometres of this section is on tarmac road, and although it's a very quiet and seldom used road, it's not the most enjoyable walk. It is worth it though for the next part through forestry commission land snd Burncrooks Reservoir. This time we had money with us for the cafe at the end!!!
