A geological walk...

...with Helen & Mike, taking in Millstone Edge and Stanage Edge...
A rather chilly nine miler under grey skies - but such an interesting area! Mike introduced us to all sorts of new formations and terms - most of them beginning with "C"  - concretions, cross-stratification and concordance being but three ;) We were suitably impressed ( except when we had to walk there and back to appreciate a cave ) especially by this "much photographed group of Millstones"...
A proper pie at the Strines Inn finished the day off beautifully ;)
