Another completely random discovery, and another beautiful Leicestershire bridge. I am so going to have to do a second volume of my Bridges of Leicestershire book...

According to Historic England this bridge dates from the late 18th Century, and what a find, so close by to places so familiar and I never knew this hidden heritage was here... 

It was a very nice day of walks around this area around 8 miles SW of Leicester.. Classical music filled of course as footpaths orbit quarry workings and criss cross railway lines while the pile of grass in wind flattened fields zooms the eye towards to church spires and tormented half quarried half standing summits....
