Purple soup

Yet again the Temple soup lunch, a choice of three or four soups, bread, cheese followed by small tray bakes with coffee. It is a most enjoyable 90 minutes, you never know who you will be sitting next to, or the topic of conversation (southern upland way, various local tidbits, finer details of deaths in London in the 1700s and other fascinating items from family history). The purple soup was based on sweet potatoes with some other purple veg, it was surprisingly sweet.
