The Junction@Clapham

Went back with Mother to support this village cafe/shop which is threatened with closure. It used to be the post office/ shop and has no toilets.   The Council has insisted that the drainage be improved so they can put in toilets.  The owners are happy to comply, but the land is owned by trustees who are refusing to allow the drainage even though the trust states that the land is to be held for the benefit of the residents of the village.  The owners point out that the shop will close without the cafe and to keep the cafe open they need toilets.  Village politics!!!
