staring into the crystal ball

Another trip to the JCMB to upgrade a computer. I really love the lab for the excellent view and the fantastic instruments. This crystal ball is not showing our murky future but is used to track the position of the sun throughout the day by mounting photosensitive paper. Pretty cool.

It also turns out to be Iggy's 70th birthday today.
