The First Cut

The kitchen has been a disaster area for 2 months, ever since the mega flood that wrecked our new, solid oak floor (my fault - plumbing blunder!).

It's all dried out and mildew successfully killed-off, so today I bit the bullet and started relaying the boards.

Put a proposal to the finance committee last night about buying an electric mitre saw, and it was approved without a hitch. So off to Screw Fix today for the purchase (quite excited), but when I got it home I'd got the 110 volt model not 240. So had a frustrating trip back to the shop to exchange it, but it was worth it in the end.

Now for the hard work .....
