Macau

Easter Sunday (and what would have been my Mom's 70th birthday) was spent exploring the island of Macau. We had to endure really long lines at passport control, ultimately missing our scheduled ferry, but they put us on the next available boat and all was fine, if frustrating. For a nation that demands the world acknowledge their "One China" policy, why do we have to complete customs paperwork to travel between Chinese islands?

In any event, the Portuguese ruins were interesting. I didn't care at all for the Vegas-style casino districts, although the House of Dancing Water show we saw in City of Dreams was spectacular!
