1st Prize

The Street Chrysanthemum, Dahlia and Vegetable Society held their an nual exhibition in the Crispin Hall today. These won 1st Prize in their category. When we first moved into our house 24 years ago, our then next door neighbour was a member of the Society and grew blooms like this; it was all very competitive and he used to protect the blooms by putting special bags over them so that we got used to seeing a host of bags over the garden fence.

Worth going large.

The Glovers lost their first game of the League season this afternoon, 1 - 0 to Bournemouth who were much the better team and thoroughly deserved their win. Never mind, there's always next week.
