return of the gulls...

...out of the mist

i heard their very distinctive call 1st - and grabbing my camera hoped i would be able - to capture them as they flew overhead - i figured it was a perfect day - cloudy and overcast with a hint of sun attempting - to make its way through those clouds - although they are flying very high in the sky - i still love that formation they use - common among these types of birds - as well as ducks and geese

i never tire of observing them - of listening to them ordering each other about - up there, being amazed at how well they all work together - thinking we humans clearly could learn a number of lessons from - our fine feathered friends and their ability to put differences aside - for some tasks at hand which are necessary for the whole - in doing so they have learned in at least one - respect what it takes to make...
