Opening up the footpath.

Took much longer (8 hours) than expected, but others (bless 'em) came behind and pulled the brash to one side.  It looks wonderful in the sunshine.  From an open field just 20-25 years ago it now inlcudes self seeded oaks over 8m tall and  150mm DBH.  The goat willow, blackthorn and brambles less good.  Cowslips and stitchwort in flower.  In the past brimstone butterflies in Spring and woodcock some years ago.
