Long shadows on the beach

Not such an early start today, thank goodness! After one of MrM's big Sunday breakfasts, we had a very pleasant walk on the Common with Louie in glorious sunshine.

Then back home to tackle a few chores, before spending a considerable length of time responding to a letter from the insurance company, and checking a document they had sent. Oh joy! 

We decided against cooking an evening meal. Instead, MrM packed a splendid picnic and drove us to Bamburgh. We sat on a bench with a fabulous sea view, and enjoyed our meal whilst watching the waves crashing against the rocks, with Lindisfarne Castle in the distance, topped by scaffolding (extras). Then a walk on the beach towards Bamburgh Castle and back. Heaven!
