Glencoe day 3 - Loch Leven and Lochan Urr

An early start as the alarm clock went at 4.00. It was still dark when we started our short drive from the inn to the Glencoe Boat Club at the Loch Leven south shore. We weren't even 300 metres away from the inn when suddenly a deer crossed the road right in front of our car. We weren't driving fast, but a collision was unavoidable. The deer tumbled away from our car but immediately got up again and sprinted away. Amazingly, our car wasn't damaged. The tow eye cover was loose but could easily be put in its place again. Some deer hair on the hood and the grill of the car and a few drops of blood on the headlight: that was all. Still, we got a good scare and continued our drive very carefully.

Once we were set up at the boat club for our sunrise shoot, blood pressure returned to normal and we started capturing the changing light. The light was beautiful and we managed to get quite a few good shots. This is one of them and there are some more in the extras.

In the afternoon, we drove to Lochan Urr. The light was not as good as we had hoped, but again we managed some nice shots. Two of them are in the extras. The original plan was to capture two waterfalls in River Etive as well, but we decided to skip that and drive back to the Inn.

For the sunset shoot, we returned to Loch Leven, but this time the North shore. It became too cloudy to get the shots I had in mind, but it was a nice quiet shoot. One of the shots is in the extras.

This was already the last full day of the shoot. Tomorrow is the last day, with sunrise being the only opportunity. After that, it's time to start packing and start the journey back home.

* Our trip to Glencoe started Thursday.
