Mono Monday – STONE

My contribution to Mono Monday is a corner stone towards the base of our Church tower. The present tower is of 13C origin but it is believed to have been built on the site of an earlier one. I like to think that this very large corner stone was perhaps part of the earlier structure (early re-cycling) and re-used in the building of today’s tower. A spire was added in the 15C.
