Lismore

I think this is our fourth trip here, and despite the ferry leaving right outside today was our first visit to Lismore. We had a lovely 10 mile walk round the north of the island punctuated by cake at the heritage centre.

As it's early season and Sunday the ferries were only every couple of hours. We missed the 215pm by 10 minutes, so had almost two hours sitting on the beach, throwing stones, playing I-spy. It's amazing how easy it is to pass time when the weather is decent

Then back to the hotel for snacks and a coup,e of beers followed by a quick snooze and dinner with another couple of beers. A and I both repeated our dessert of last night. Salted caramel brownie with peanut butter ice cream and chilli chocolate sauce. Food of the gods.

I also had a wonderful swim first thing. The water was calm and not that cold so I headed south along the shore for 15 minutes then turned round and was tide assisted back. Then a quick ditch of the wetsuit. Fabulous. It turns out you can swim and smile at the same time.
