Light & sight

Eyes

A trip to the opticians today. A conversation about "compromised monocular vision". An agreement to fit a new lens in my specs.
And then three quarters of an hour dawdling in a coffee shop.
Sight is quite something to ponder, isn't it? For us, it's the king of the senses: what we see IS reality, with hearing, smell, touch and taste just accompaniments to the main event. But what's it's like for dogs and cats? Is smell the main event for them, with sight just an accompaniment to that? How do blind visualise the world? It's impossible to picture. Ha!
If you look at the glasses worn by the mannequin on the right, you can just see me in the left lens...looking at me looking at me.
