It's hard to believe, but last Friday

For the first time since the industrial Revolution over a Hundred Years ago, no Coal was burned to generate Electricity in the entire British Isles!
While it is true that Bio mass and wood waste was burned instead, it also means that over 30% of the Nation's Energy needs was met by renewable power sources.
A small step for mankind,
But a giant step  for Gaia or the Planet Earth if you prefer!
This is of course Drax, second largest Coal burning power station in Europe, but hopefully not for much longer.
