If you can't beat them...

Bridge at Ivegill.

When you start to age you find you are attending more and more funerals.  Today was my third in under six months.  It was an ex- colleague who I worked with before she retired in the late 80s.  She had lived a busy life and reached the age of 88 so all in all not a bad innings.

The country church was standing room only.  The brightest part of the day was meeting up with people I worked with over the years.  Isn't it strange how it often takes a funeral to bring people together.

On the way back from the refreshments in the village hall we decided to head across country rather than take the main road.  This took us through Ivegill where there is this little bridge.  At first it looks like a pack horse bridge but it is just wide enough for a pedestrian and leads into private ground.
